Over the next couple of weeks, I’m going to share all of my Christmas vignettes…some are finished, some are still “in progress”. I’ve really gotten the Christmas decorating bug this year and I’m not sure what’s so different about this year than any other year besides the fact that I’ve been immersed in Pinterest and Instagram for the blog and it’s given me some great inspiration.
These are going to be kind of quick-blitz blog posts cause nobody’s got time to read a novel right now… although I wish I could! I’m sure most of you out there can empathize with the insane pace at which your life picks up around the holidays!
So, here goes! This is my dining room vignette.
I decided to go with a more neutral color scheme to highlight the shiplap and the coastal look I’m going for in this room. I don’t usually stick with neutrals (recall 50 shades of beige??), but it’s starting to grow on me, ha!
I found those pre-lit mini trees at Aldi for $6.99 a piece! That is an amazing, amazing price! I didn’t get them when I first saw them and then I couldn’t stop thinking about them and had to make a special trip back out. Ever have that experience? I feel like that’s when you know that you won’t regret a purchase…when you can’t stop thinking about it!
This precious wooded nativity was a gift from my brother years ago when he traveled to Germany. I’ve started keeping it out all year long because I just love it so much.
The brass candlesticks were from the Goodwill for $2 a piece! Seriously guys, brass candlesticks are the thing right now, so go grab some at the thrift store before they’re gone.
I also got this brass pedestal at the Goodwill for $5! Same thing happened as above, I didn’t buy it when I went to get the candlesticks and then I couldn’t stop thinking about it, so I had to go back. Trust your gut folks!
So there you have it. Vignette #1 in the books. Hopefully I’ll like my other “in progress” vignettes just as much. Hope you like it too!
Nice! I love that you switched out the painting for the mirror! It completes the look.
Looks beautiful!
I like the natural elements!
