Anybody else need gift ideas for Mother’s Day? There are so many stages to motherhood and a new mom has different needs than the retired mom. Sometimes I’m at a complete loss for what to get my mother-in-law, but I know exactly what to get my mom. Many times we ladies have a hard time voicing what we want, so I ran a little poll with my fellow mommy friends and these were some of the suggestions that we came up with that would suit most any mom out there.
1. French Connection Tote
My friend Karla suggested a cute bag. What a great idea! With summer coming up we could probably all use a new cute bag. This is the Bridget Tote and right now it is selling at Nordstrom Rack for $41.30. That’s a steal. And, the color is so pretty for Spring/Summer!
2. Car Detailing
Ummm…Yes! Sign me up! My friend Bethany gave me this idea and it’s genius! What mom with young kids wouldn’t love to have her car detailed. I shopped around at several of our local mobile car detailers and prices range from $119-$300 depending on the services you want. Most interior services come with a steam shampoo and stain removal. That’s what I would want. Can someone get that spoiled milk smell out of my car please?? They say that the can!
Ziebart is a national chain and can be found in most major cities. They have a store finder on their website so you can locate one near you. Or, you could just google “mobile car detailers near me” to find a local detailer.
I think we can all relate to this pic. Yikes!
Here’s mom after you’ve had her car detailed…
3. Wine Club Delivery
I’ve been a member of a wine club and it’s such a treat to have wine delivered to your door! My sister Emily just sent us a gift of three wines from First Leaf and they were delicious! This would make a great gift for mom. You can send a small package of wine to yourself or someone else and cancel your membership at any time. Right now you can get 3 wines for $15.00 +$4.95 shipping. No code required, just use this link.
I am a big big fan of orchids. I currently have 4 of them in my house. And I’d love more! Most moms love to get flowers, but the real kick in the teeth is that they only last for a week or so and then they go in the trash. An orchid plant generally costs around $25 and continuously blooms throughout the year. I have a couple of orchids that I bought in September that are still in full bloom, one that is “resting” (no blooms) and one that has just re-bloomed. They’re actually pretty low maintenance plants and you can enjoy the flowers all year. It’s really a no-brainer.
My friend Miriah loves unique handmade gifts. She sent me this link for a mother’s necklace. This would be a great gift for any mother figure in your life! They are made by Leila Jewelry Shop on Etsy. Necklaces range from $36 to $45. Price depends on chain length and whether you choose gold or silver.
6. Bathtub Caddy
Let’s be real…alone time in the bathtub is a great mother’s day gift in and of itself. But, who wants to juggle their wine, book, cell phone while trying to relax in the tub. Not me.
A great gift would be this bathtub caddy and 1 hour of uninterrupted time alone in the bath. It’s $34.95 and qualifies for Prime shipping on Amazon.
7. Bath Salts
Let me tell you, this stuff is amazing. It’s a mineral bath soak made by AYU.Co in Charcoal Mint. I wish you could smell it. It’s such a treat, and at $24, it’s worth your mom feeling like a queen on Mother’s Day.
8. Fitbit Bracelet
This doesn’t look like your mother’s fitbit, so go get her this one! Tory Burch and Fitbit have collaborated to create this ultra sleek, double-wrap bracelet ($175) for your Fitbit Flex 2 that looks like a piece of jewelry. Fitbit Flex 2 not included.
When I asked my friends what they would like for Mother’s Day, the first answer I got back was from my friend Christine and she said, “I love gift certificates for a massage.” Who doesn’t??? (well, we know one of our friends doesn’t, but we’re not going to call her out in public, ha!)
I checked out Massage Envy because they are in nearly every state in the U.S., so you’re bound to find one close to the mom in your life. They are running a special right now too! With this promotion, you could spend $125 and get 2 60-minute massages with either a 60-minute facial session or a 30-minute massage upgrade. Yes please!
Every mom can use a new pair of sunnies! I go through at least 2 pair per summer. I either lose them or one of my precious cherubs decide that they want to play with them and then they break. Ugh. These aviator sunglasses by Lucky Brand are super cute and super cheap. At $24.97, they’re hard to pass up!
I hope some of these suggestions help you pick out the perfect gift for the mom in your life. Happy Mother’s Day all!
