I love our sectional from Rowe Furniture. We bought this right after Wade was born. Though I’d probably choose a less high maintenance color in hindsight, I’ve never wavered in my love for its clean lines, firm back, and buttons.
Over these past five years of happy couch ownership, I have never been able to land on artwork to hang above the couch. It’s actually pretty long (103 inches!) so there needs to be either multiple art pieces, or one massive piece. I’ve toyed around with a gallery wall like this.
Considered a picture ledge like this.
Thought about two to three large complementary pieces of the same size like this.
Almost pulled the trigger on one massive piece like this (DIYed).
And recently landed on the set up below. I needed to throw artwork up there before we had a bunch of people over for a party, and voila!
I actually like it. The large DIY canvas art is an unfinished project that was supposed to look like the shop counter in the picture below. But, now that it’s been sitting for months without the wood pieces attached, it’s actually grown on me as is.
The smaller white frame has a piece of ombre wrapping paper from Rifle Paper Co I threw in there for stagin our Cincinnati house to sell. The pink in the wrapping paper is the same exact pink as the canvas. So…they match, but I’m now on the hunt for something more interesting to put in that frame.
My other sister-in-law sent me a link to this print, suggesting it would look good because it incorporates the pink and the black of the large canvas.

Watermelon, by Ana Dorfman
I agree! And, I love the print she sent. Now I’m inspired to hunt down some affordable art prints incorporating pink and black, that might just fit the bill for that space above our beloved couch. I’m looking for something abstract but soft, to balance the graphic nature of the large canvas.
So, here are a few others I tracked down that might work in this space…
Leave Behind the Shadows, by Emily Jeffords
Grapefruity Too, By Katie Craig
Mesmerize, by Melanie Severin
Road Trip, by Lynne Millar
Summer Day, from Jenny’s Print Shop (This one is great, because you purchase the digital file for $15, then you can print it any size you want.)
Unquelled, by Clair Elseaser
Which is your favorite? What do you have hanging up above your couch? Now that I see them all in one place, I think I know which two are my favorites! Just need to pull the trigger…
